How To Measure

Dimensions:

According to your shape of the hot tub, you will have to measure each dimension at the widest point. You will measure from lip-to-lip as it shows on the diagram below. Keep in mind that if a cover is too small it most likely will not work. If you added on an inch that would give you 1/2” all around and that would work. Depending on your shape, measure at the middle of your hot tub so the corners will not interfere. Each cover is built to your specified dimensions +/-1”.

Skirt Measurement:

Measure the skirt from the bottom of your cover to the bottom of the acrylic. Skirt measurements can be longer depending on your preference, however, you do not want it too long causing bunching. In-ground covers may not want a skirt but a scuff pad is recommended.

Radius Corner:

If your hot tub shape has a rounded corner, this would be your radius measurement. You can measure this with a carpenter square ruler or use our template for radius corners. At point Z (where the curve of the corner starts) measure to Y (where the corner would end if it was a square cover). That will give to a length of C, which is the radius corner.

Fold:

Replacement Hot Tub Covers manufactures each hot tub cover to fold in half  for easy maneuvering. The cover fold measurement is the distance from one edge of the spa to the other that extends in both directions. You will be asked to provide one measurement upon ordering, in whichever direction you would like your spa cover to fold in half. Click here for guides to better help you choose your fold.
